hi

I have a cd rom drive installed in my system.
i can able to confirm this by seeing the System startup settings.
It says IDE harddrive 0 Installed with 20 gb
& CD rom drive installed .

But in windows mode, am unable to access CD drive.
I have only Local C: & D: Drives appearing in mycomputer.
If i run E: ,it says invalid drive specification

What will be the problem?

Hi Suriya,

Does the CD-Rom work? Try ejecting the CD-Rom Drive. Also make sure that the power cable is connected properly, and the IDE cable aswell.

I had a similar problem, I connected my CD-Rom with the primary ide cable that also conects to my HDD. For some strange reason it kept causing conflicts. In the end I connected the CD-Rom to the secondary ide cable.

If the cables are connected properly, and the cd drive letter still doesn't show up, try the second suggestion.

Good luck!
Sarah
