Are there any free C++ compilers on the web anywhere?
Thanks
I bumped into this (http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~lcc-win32/) site, when looking for something else... anyway, its a "C" compiler that's free for non-commercial use (not what you asked for... but I don't know the difference--maybe its similar?)

I've been using Bloodshed Dev C++ (http://www.bloodshed.net/) recently, seems pretty good and straight forward.

I agree with them, I strongly recommend Bloodshed Dev-C++. I've tried others like Borland and Digital Mars. You can aquire Dev-C++ at www.bloodshed.com (http://www.bloodshed.com). It is an exellent compiler. :) But I will let you choose for yourself. Click on this link (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dev-cpp/devcpp4.zip?use_mirror=umn) to download it now.

when not using gcc in linux, i use this in windows
http://www.digitalmars.com/
don't know how good it is, but it works for command line stuff with c, so give it a shot for c++

FYI http://www.bloodshed.net/ is the link, http://www.bloodshed..com yeilds many popups and is totally unrelated. ;)
