Hi there i have a pdf file but i cannot print it. Is there a way to unlock it so i can print it?

Try opening it with Internet Explorer (right click the file, select Open with...) and printing it from the IE file menu rather than the Adobe Acrobat menu.

I press the print button.....but this does nothing!

make sure you have a printer installed....hehehehe

PDFs have a security setting to make them unprintable. Might be that.

While it may just be the result of a user playing with the settings without understanding the ramifications, most non-printable PDF files are made that way deliberately. Contact the author of the document if you want to get a hard copy.

Well I can't help you circumnavigate security protocols on a file. If the file is protected, it's because the author wants it so. I would say however, that not all programs that read pdfs acknowledge the print-protection, I couldn't be specific on which programs as it's not something I've previously dealt with.
