can not install SP3 XP

I have just reinstalled my pc Windows XP Pro.

But when I am asked to do windows update it fails al the time on SP3.

I have also tried to install the stand alone version and this also causing problems with the display?!

I then went out and got a new hard drive and now I have the same problem!

Any suggestions on how I can install SP3 ?

If you could show us the error messages if any or something like that we can help you more. But anyway it looks like you are doing something wrong in the install or the disk is at fault.

Anyway backup your data and format your C drive (google.com/search?q=format+c)
Check your disk's integrity
(In bash, $md5sum <iso> and compare, dunno in windows, google)
Install
Install drivers

Make sure you are administrator and try to get the updates again.

If it fails, post more information, if possible screenshots.
