lines moving in my monitor

every so often i keep seeing diagnol lines apearing in my monitor moving up and down.

Should i be concerned? it has never done it before.

well i have had this monitor for some time and i have never seen the problem before.

The monitor could be going bad. What is your refresh rate at?

How diagonal? as in corner to corner, or just off horizontal?

Is there anything nearby electrical that may be intefering? try and degauss it, see if it helps.

You could check the refresh rate (properties, settings, advanced, monitor). The default is 60hz which might be a tad slow for some peoples eyes (higher is always better).

it is set to optimal the only other option is adapter default.
they where quite major, not far off corner to corner except the appeared to the lover left and upper right.

I have seen some vertical lines go through it a few mins ago.
