CSS/Tumblr/Font

Hi everyone! :)

I am new with CSS, so I apologize if this question has been posted before (I have looked around and couldn't find it).

I have some custom CSS/HTML with my Tumblr layout, however, I am having problems making the font changes work. I have referred to sites for coding, and it just isn't working for me.

All I want is the default font to be Verdana, and the size to be around 80%.

I have never used tumblr before. Do they allow you to edit the CSS or do they give you a control panel that allows you to edit some styles?

they have a custom HTML option that you can turn on, and then they have an additional "Custom CSS" spot

font-size: 80% !important;
}


and do the same for any other class that changes the font/font size.
