Hi all, I am designing a website for a friend. I am still in the process of making it, but for some reason the text of the site is not appearing right on firefox. I did look through the HTML/CSS page on this forum, but found it no help for me.

http://www.bentleyerectionandrigging.com/AboutUs/About.html

There is the link. The homepage looks perfect. But the about us page text is not appearing where it should be.

Please someone help me out.

Thanks

welcome to CF.

You will need to validate your page by getting rid of the errors shown here.

http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bentleyerectionandrigging.com%2FAboutUs%2FAbout.html

we can't offer any real help unless those errors are resolved as they may be causing some issues themselves.

Please post back, when sorted or if you need more help.

On your About page, you have a stray " <span class="style6">" on line 40 that's doing you no good...

but how come the home page works perfectly fine? You home page doesn't work that perfectly as it is also not cross-browser compatible. You are using a HTML 4.01 Transitional document type, yet, you are trying to code your pages with XHTML 1.0 tags.

Have been unable to validate all your CSS as I can't get the CSS validator (http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/) to load.

You are going to have problems getting many browsers to present your pages as you wish. I'm sure you know that IE has bugs, but you can use Conditional Statements to control IE versions.

Why Validate?: http://validator.w3.org/docs/why.html
