I have a popup with navigation links that goes onBlur in the usual way. I have tried several hotkey scripts to reveal it on top but none of them work. I use ie6, and I understand tht securities have caused problems here. Is there any script that will reveal a onBlur popup by a keypress from the keyboard?

Thanks Richard

Are you saying the pop up window is behind he main window and when a key is pressed it comes to the front?

look at the last script on this page

all you would need to do is call your window for a key value

WindowObjectName.focus();

Hope I gave you an idea

Thanks Alien51
Yes, I simply want to call into focus an existing popup that is behind other windows. These windows are not part of my site, so I cant use page code. I tried your "hot key" script and modified it as follows

<script>

function handleKeyPress(evt) {
var nbr, chr;
if (window.Event) nbr = evt.which;
else nbr = event.keyCode;
//focuses window with x
else if(nbr==88){window.focus("/remote2.htm");}
else{return true;}
}
document.onkeydown= handleKeyPress
</script>

remote2 is the popup I want to bring to front. using x (it has its own close button)

For some reason It will not work... can you see whats wrong?

Thank you Rich

if they are not on the same domain, then you probably will not be able to get them to focus.......

I have not included the full url here, but the actual code has a full url not just '/remote2' Will that make a difference? If the window is resident in the browser surely there's a way to focus it...
