I know there is a code for a back button, like if your on a site you can press back but it's at the bottom of their page...

Just put this wherever you want your back button to be:
<FORM>
<INPUT TYPE="Button" VALUE="Return to Previous Page"
onClick="history.go(-1)">
</FORM>

Ya that works great.
I use href="javascript:window.history.back();"
Just a comment or two on back buttons.
If you are designing a page with your own back button don't get carried away. What I mean is if you have Page1(with a back button) that links to Page2(also has a back button).
When you link from Page1 to Page2 then select the back button in Page2 it brings you to Page1, great so far. What happens when you select the back button now in Page1. It brings you back to Page2 because that was the last page you were on.
What I'm trying to say is having your own back button is great but for ease of navigation you may want to stick to regular links with clear references on what page they will open. If you are stuck on the idea of having back buttons try to make sure that you know where "back" is.
Yes, people can use the browsers back button, if they get lost, but if you wanted them to do that why have your own.
Wow I got a little carried away there, sorry
