client-side certificate [Archive]

we have a client who wants a client-side certificate when he logs into our appilcation. we already have a SSL cert. but i'm not sure what a client-side certificate is? or how to install it or how to code for it. can anyone help?

Also this is one client out of dozens i don't want to rewrite our code to please this one company but this company will provide more $ than all others.
