Through a series of unfortunate events I have been recently stranded with a desktop and a lap top. The desktop connects through a router & access card to the internet. The laptop does not have a built in wireless card. Put simply i am trying to connect the laptop to the internet.
I need help finding the best way to go about this, without buying additional hardware. (This is a temporary fix, unless it works great). Im hoping a remote connection, a simple network, or maybe that the two routers will be able to connect to one another. I am by no means an expert in networking, in fact the only networks i have set up are printers, scanners, etc.

Additional information

I have two routers, one access card, all the Ethernet and USB cables necessary for the devices.

Linksys RTP300 and Belkin (Ill fill router model when i retrieve), The access card is belkin as well.

Both PC's OS's are XP.

The Two computers are seperated by a short physical distance that (20 feet) Far enough away to where i dont want to use cables directly.

You can pick up a USB wireless adaptor on the cheap for £5 from pretty much anywhere. They're all practically identical anyway.
