If you look at my website (at the bottom, in the signature.)
The opening page comes up with a picture of the front of my house. (23moss.png)
If you then go to the menu and select "Home", a caption is added to the picture.
I have been trying to get this to load with the initial load but so far I have had no luck.

Any pointers gladly received.

Frank

Add
document.getElementById('test').innerHTML=desc[0]; above the following line in the script in your home page.

lis=document.getElementById('nav').getElementsByTagName('li');

Thanks abduraooft.

That's exactly what I wanted. I wish that I could find some way to learn javascript with my gammy eyes. I posted the post here because I thought that it would need to be done with CSS.

Many thanks,

Frank

EDIT: Just found this (http://www.yourhtmlsource.com/javascript/basicjavascript.html), looks promising.
