Nice work so far! One thing I noticed is there is some text on the page that is the same color as the links. Specifically, "Ottawa's Newest, Premier Classified Ad Site!
Launched June, 2010." This might confuse the end user.

Good luck!

- First off, I have no idea of what you are trying to sell by looking at your splash page, you have to let people know what you are
-On your splash page you have a nice looking map that should also be clickable, otherwise what is its purpose
- once a user has selected a location you need to have a path back to the slash page, if they accidentally chose the incorrect area how to they get back to choose the right one
- when I first entered a location I got this very nice easy to understand menu showing all the items, after selecting an item to look at, and saying not what I want, I can't get back to that nice menu. Using the bread crumb menu doesn't take me back to that page. Selecting All Categories gives me a menu on the left but its not as nice to navigate that one. I'd like to go back to that original menu.

I like the layout. Its very nice and clean, easy to know what you have to do with out getting lost, with the exception of the above points.
Good job.

rick, the normal web rules do not apply to Canadian sites. It is considered standard and may even be required by law in certain provinces to neutrally provide a language selection, and therefore users are used to waiting before content appears.

That said, if you're going to provide a big picture, let me click on it to select my province. It took me a fair while to understand what I was supposed to do. Also, on your French site, the e acutes do not display correctly.

Désoler!
Sur les pages en français, les accents ne s'affichent pas correctement. Vérifiez que tous les logiciels que vous utilisez pour vous aider à uploader des pages n'est pas la suppression des accents.
Otherwise a smooth and concise design. Far less confusing than sites like ebay and amazon, yet more visually appealing than craigslist. I'd suggest using an image for your logo, instead of styled text.

Mais monsieur, on doit parler en anglais, s'il vous plaît, parce que tout le monde ne peut pas nous comprendre, selon les règles.
Si vous voulez, ajoutez la traduction à votre message pour les autres qui peuvent trouver ceci utile.
Merci.

There's a bug when we are using the french accents, we are on it.

An image as a logo, hmmm... this is something to consider. thanks.

A few of my friends have also point this out. We will definitely make the adjustment, now if only I can find a good color scheme that matches my light green.

This is a very good point. I have not even notice it. thank you.

-On your splash page you have a nice looking map that should also be clickable, otherwise what is its purpose We are currently working on this, it is a lot harder than we had originally anticipated.

- once a user has selected a location you need to have a path back to the slash page, if they accidentally chose the incorrect area how to they get back to choose the right one Problem solved.

- when I first entered a location I got this very nice easy to understand menu showing all the items, after selecting an item to look at, and saying not what I want, I can't get back to that nice menu. You have eye for detail, I did not see that.

thank you for all your inputs.
