Texbox with a Date

I would like to create a script that when a user clicks on a textbox with a date, the part clicked will be selected. For instead if the the Date is 01-23-2002 and he clicks near the 23 then only the 23 portion of the textbox will be selected.

I'm starting to think what I asked is not possible.....
Hum, how about this. I need a way so that when a user press the left/right arrow that the day on the texbox will increase/decrease by one. And when they press up/down the month will increase/decrease by one.
How can I implement this?

i'm pretty sure your first request isn't possible, too.

i think you're second request can be done, but it might be a bit tricky. i'm not gonna be able to work on anything for at least 2 days, so if no one's come up with something for you by then, give me an email, and i'll see if i can't put something together for you. no promises, though.
