Also, I don't agree with changing the user interface. There's a reason it's called the USER interface, not the DOCUMENT interface.

In what way are people going to benefit from knowing the "coolness" of a the code?

Yes, for an English language site that is a silly thing to do. Now for a language like Arabic where the direction of text is left to right this is the proper thing to do. Of course you should use W3C standard declarations to set up the page instead of using deprecated (that means obsolete) or proprietary properties, that way the users of any modern browser will be able to see the effect properly.
