Here is the page where the larger problems is isolated all the way down.

Read the script on the source code of the page.

Firefox finds the string and indexes as it should.

IE8 doesn't.

Please advise.

THANKS!

PROBLEM is - works in firefox and safari -- but doesn't work in IE8 ----

Anyone care to assist me?

All javascript is in the source code of the mentioned page.

Thanks!

I cannot make IE "see" the text even though it is clearly there!

Anybody have any thoughts or ideas at all on this? It is really frustrating to see the actual text in the source code and not be able to search it out on the page in IE?

The obvious thing to do in this case is to alert the innerHTML and see if your search string is actually there. I didn't know I.E. takes such liberties but I suppose it's not surprising.
