.avi video

Hi,

I have a .avi video that is rather large (1.1GB) I want to play it on a webpage, what is the best way to go about this?

Convert it to a .swf file? If that's the case is there any free conversions programmes that you know of that don't watermark the page or play sounds over the top of it.

How long is the video? Streaming that large of a file will kill your bandwidth. The option I prefer, if its a video over 10 minutes long, is to cut-up into 10 minute segment, post on youtube, then create a youtube playlist from the videos, so they can be played in sequence.
