I'm interested in how effective you feel the design is and how efficient it is to customize and order a computer.

Feel free to mock.

Quite like the overall feel of the place. Simple and concise. However...

1) It would look better if the containers for Duke, Prince & King were all of equal heights.

2) Making it just as usable without JS would definitely be a boon.

I like the design of the site a lot, it`s clear what it`s about and I it encourages exploration.

* Yes, containers must be equal height.
* In a similar vein the start of "PWG Custom Computers News and Events"-text should be pushed down to the same height as the start of the "What We Are"-text.
* There seems to be some images missing?
* Easy to see where to customize and order (but I guess the functionality isn`t there yet?)

I finally went live with this website. I'd love a critical review and anything is game-- function, design, graphics, usability. Even though it's "live", I'm still making changes as I see fit. I should however declare up front the customization and ordering doesn't work if Javascript is turned off and I don't care-- I did it on purpose, as a matter of fact. :p

May I ask why the footer has a minimum height of 800px?

The original reason was to keep the scroll bar visible in Firefox no matter how long the content got so the page remained lined up as you browse from page to page. (Without the min height, when content doesn't reach the bottom of the viewable area Firefox's scrollbar disappears, widening the viewable area). Its purpose now is kind of the same but it's less important now. I'm going to reduce it to 300px so it's not as jarring.

Is overflow-y: scroll distasteful to you, shroomi?

IMO, the height given to top nav bar is too small when compared to other blocks in the pages. Also, the "selected" style of the tab "Computers" is missing. And in the "ordering" page (http://pwgcomputers.com/index.php/customize/DiamondPerformancePC), the background image applied to the subheadings causes a little distraction (to me only? :)) to read the options under them.

The "View Document Outline" option under the "information" tab of firebug will show you some tips regarding to SEO. (Also, I wouldn't place the title and logo as a background image.)

Are you talking about the green image for each category heading? Or the greyish fading background under each selected part?

I'll try increasing the size of the menu and see if it improves (I agree it seems itty bitty).

I can't find an Information tab in my Firebug.

And thanks for the catches on the errors, I'll fix those up.

Are you talking about the green image for each category heading?Yes (http://pwgcomputers.com/img/bg_cat_title2.png). It takes a major part of my attention.

I can't find an Information tab in my Firebug. Sorry, it's not firebug. It's the web-developer toolbar.:o

You're right I've always disliked that green background. I modified the backgrounds on the customize page, I think it's better now. I hope it is.
