I operate a community website which currently list local business in standard HTML.

However I would like to change this to a Business Directory script. I only need to list: Company Name, Address, Tel, URL (if they have one) and Tel Number (perhaps a description of of their services - bit not essential) Also the ability to add them into customised catagories is essential.

I have had a look around for days and everyone I have found is either not free or is self operating and any visitor submissions are immediately visible. I would prefer to approve all listings.

I do have PHP/mySQL access but I am not experienced in this. But I wuld be happy to try one of these if all else fails.

Does anyone know of such a script?

Spookster...... I cross posted (as you call it) because I want either CGI OR PHP.

As they are in 2 different catagories and are for 2 different types of language.... what else could I do. I cant ask for PHP in CGI and cant ask for CGI in PHP.

I Shouldn't have asked! Sorry

I use a FREE cgi script called "linkmatic" - I've customized mine three different times to change it into a church directory, business listing, etc... you can pretty much set it up anyway you want if you know a little CGI.

It also allows people to post but will not show up until you approve it - and it sends you an email to let you know someone posted...

here's a link - it's a weird site, but a great script...
