We have recently added our business to google maps. But when viewing the map their seem to be the usual Red Markers which show where you are. But also what looks like embedded in grey other businesses have their listing without the red marker showing up. Can anybody advise how you go about getting this type of listing on a googlemap. Is it paid for or do you have to be a specific business. I only ask as their is a laundrette added in this way.

Here is a link to what I mean

How do you go about getting your business listed in this way?

Any help would be great

I think those are special interest type of businesses, such as public markets, sport arenas, tourist type of stuff, etc. In your example what is The Windmill? Is that something tourist's might be interested in?

Hi Len,

Well in my example link the red highlighted business is a LAUNDRETTE, but there are places like restaurants and takeaways on it too. But looking around my local area there are lots of businesses listed in this way which I wouldn't call places of real significant interest.

Thats why I thought there must be a way to list on the map in this way.
