hello everybody,

If a page has to be listed in a search engine like google,altavista...
should i write the metatag as follows??

<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="inkaytown,kaiserslautern,and so on>

But, i never got my page listed.I provided 7 keywords and still i dont find my page.
I also tried by adding my url in google, but still i dont see my page being listed in the search results.Do i miss anything else or is there any other smart way.

thanks a lot

Google and search engines like it build their indexes more off the actual text on the page than the meta keywords. Thats one of the main reasons not to put your main body text in images.

Make sure to look at the link to the site about the "Google Dance".

The <title> and meta description are the important ones to do.

Way too true...I just saw a SERP where the guy's site was listed above a search engine speciality site by using absolutely no meta tags...title only. :D
