Allowing certain file extensions only

hey guys i was wondering how i would go about only allowing the file extensions that are .html & .php?

i seen examples but there all to denie file types and that doesnt seem efficient.

<FilesMatch "*.(html|php)">
Order allow, deny
Allow from none
Deny from all
</FilesMatch>

did some reading anyone want to tell me if this is a good way or doing it and if it is correct?
