UML, bah who needs that :p

I'd definitely pick up jQuery-- you'll rarely use raw Javascript again. You should also look into using a PHP framework such as CodeIgniter-- if you're interested in becoming an employee this is something most employers like to see on your CV.

I’d also recommend jQuery for a production use. PEAR (if you mean the PHP Extension and Application Repository) is not a technique, it’s more like a library (like jQuery). OOP is (IMO) mandatory, since many techniques and languages use it (e.g. JavaScript, PHP’s Database Handlers (PDO, MySQLi, MDB2 (PEAR)), etc.)

I’d strongly suggest you specialize a little more. Web development is a large field. Basically you can be a front-end developer which focuses more on HTML/XML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. (the things that happen in the browser and people will see), or a back-end developer who does the real programming on the server side with PHP, MySQL, and similar languages and related technologies (the things that make sites and applications work).

It’s always best to know something really good rather than just a little of everything. I’ve rarely seen anyone who was really good in all fields.

I too found the initial question a little strange. All the responses so far would fit the question: "what do you recommend I learn to be a well rounded web developer".

However, the OP said "I am a web developer, at what point do I get to call myself a professional web developer".

Perhaps if the goal was clarified we could help better?
