I have a question, which may be stupid! I'm a total newbie...

I have an Access database. It contains a series of 3 letter codes that correspond with a list. Each 3 letter code has at least 3 subsections, up to 20.

Now, this is what I was wondering...

If I have a field in the browser that contains the 3 letter code, when submitted, how can I have the subsections associated with the code come up in the page?

Also, each of these subsections has a series of information associated with it. How can I make this list a link to another page?

HELP! Haha!

I realy wonder what kind of reply you're hoping for.
I could start answering you're question, but it probably won't get you a working app (since your questions are so broad i suspect you have absolutely no experience with asp or db's) and this thread could grow into one of these frustrating threads where i could even post the complete code and still get these 'nope, don't work' replys.
I think you should start by reading the posting guidelines (specially about picking a meaningful titile). Then go on by running some searches to find the info you need. Or by reading some tutorials on ASP and/or relational databases. (for which links are posted here quite frequently).

Think the quickest way for you, is to pick up a tutorial or book and spend a few hours reading. If you run into problems or have specific question, you'll find all the help you need (by running a search or else, by posting it) here.

A GREAT tutorial, that will show you the basics, is here:

http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/02/35/index4a.html?tw=backend

Make it through that (which I did rather easily, once upon a time), and you will know enough to start messing with exactly what you described.

Thanks alot. I'm a designer, and it's kind of difficult for me to adjust, but it would be real nice to know these things; ASP, JavaScript, databases, etc.

Anyway, thanks again!
