hello,
i was reading somewhere that rather than export the SWF file as a movie, you can export it as an image sequence or something like that.
i'm planning on doing a slide show that automatically rotates through a few images every few seconds.
this image sequence option looks like a good idea since it will save bandwidth (no sense in created 30 frames per second for a slide show).
does anybody know of a site on the internet that describes this in detail (say about 2-3 pages with screenshots), in simple language, including all of the file-menu paths?
i saw this link: http://www.adobetutorialz.com/articles/1677/1/Freeze-frames---Export-a-still-image-sequence
but it looks like it's for premiere. that being said, i *have* premiere. so if that's the best way to do it fine. but it looks like the only web-ready format (without needing a viewer with chrome around it) is the animated gif option. but gif's usually are not as sharp as jpegs or pngs. also i don't know if you can use this method they are describing to export a slide show with fade effects (i want every five seconds one image to fade down while the other fades up). so if it instantly switches the image, that's not what i'm looking for.
i also have photoshop. someone gave me the outside of the box idea that you can do this in photoshop too. i saw this link:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Photoshop/11.0/WSB8B861CE-EBFB-4941-8587-A7572FA2EF69a.html
but it started talking about "alpha channels" and lost me.
i kind of like the idea of photoshop. but i'm not sure which is the easiest one to create a self-running, never-stopping revolving SWF slideshow with fade-ins/outs between images: Flash, Premiere, or Photoshop. i'm looking for crisp retention of original image quality, but smart with filesize. so the sequenced-image idea looks great, rather than converting the pictures into a 30fps movie.
