how many out sockets does your soundcard have? if it only has a few you will have to get a box dodah to contact all yuor speakers to.

This is the part: http://www.midiman.com/products/consumer/revolution_page1.php

There are 4 outputs, presumably 1 for the sub and 3 pairs to make 7, speaker packages only come up to 6.1 though  Sound isn't my forte tbh but I'd like to know how a 7 speaker config could be achieved, a seperate amp for each pair maybe?

Run a "Digital Coax" cable from the digital connector at the top of the card to your home surround sound system if you have one already. On the cheap you could use ordinary Stereo PC Speakers for each "pair" and one additional set of speakers with a sub-woofer for the channel with the sub-woofer feed.

I bought a new motherboard with a built-in 5.1 system earlier this year and since I didn't have a home system already I bought the Logitech Z-680 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=products/details&CRID=2&CONTENTID=5048&countryid=2&languageid=1) system and then ran the digital output of both my computer and my DVD player to that system.
