How do I install Gd???

I went to this page: http://www.boutell.com/gd/
And at the very bottom downloaded version 2.0.12 for the zip version... I am using php version 4.3.1... B4 I downloaded this, I wrote the following function on a new php script:

gd_info();

and nothing came up, I also tried:

var_dumb(gd_info());

and still nothing came up... How do I install GD??? Thanx 4 any help!:)
Btw, did I even download the right thing in the first place?

Well, I finally figured something out, but it still doesnt work... I downloaded a php_gd.dll file, but it still does not want to work... I placed it in the folder "C:\gd\" and in my php.ini file I changed the thing to extension=php_gd.dll. But when I load my phpinfo page, it says, "Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\gd\php_gd.dll' the specified file cannot be found"

Could sum1 please help me? Maybe the file is not compatible with my version of apache or php? Could someone give me another link to a php_gd.dll??
