That is quite a loaded question. Computer Science encompasses a large list of different jobs. I do software development in Java, mostly focused on web applications and from my experience, I think it is completely worthwhile. There are too many factors to address a generic "is it worth it?" question. Some questions I would have for you.....

1. What type of Computer-related jobs are you interested in? IT, Embedded systems, mobile applications, web applications etc...
2. Any thought in company types/sizes? The environment can vary depending on the company you work for.
3. Do you have a lot of patience? You need to be willing to fail all day long at some tasks and accept it. The way I describe programming is a sequence of failures moving towards a working system. No one writes perfectly out of the box.
4. It's self driven work in many situations, are you OK with that?

1. I am interested, at least for now, of learning a language and progressing from that absolutely no thoughts on what i would do later
2. Just a company that pays good
3. I like to think i do

Thanks a bunch
