I just read Ed Roberts parted from us. Tribute to the person who made what we use everyday.

He was 2 months younger than my Dad... Hang in there, Dad! We still like having you around.

I like that Roberts had a dream of practicing medicine and got to pursue his dream after making big bucks. That's pretty cool.

Did he make big bucks? I always had the impression he hadn't and that's why he moved back to medicine. And from what i understood he would never become friends with gates.

Saw it years ago.. don't remember any details. I assumed he made enough $$ to live comfortably but what do I know!

Hey there you go, Ed scored $2,000,000 from the sale of MITS in 1977. In today's dollars that's $6.9 mil, which I would consider big bucks. It's not Bill Gates big bucks, but you should have to worry about money anymore with that kind of payday.:thumbsup:
