Do you mean when booting into dos, or when opening a comand prompt/dos window?

for sparky

i meant when booting into dos, not when opening a dos-window in Windows.

what should if i format c: and i don't have ms-windows anymore?
i must install it from a cd-rom, but i can't use the cdrom under dos

thanks anyway

I know NT4/2000/XP and I think 98 lets you boot directly from the CD so you wouldn't need to use a boot disk.
