i recently changed my resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x1024. after doing this the icons in my system tray are distorted and pixelated. is there any way to change the size of the icons or give them more space in the toolbar so they can be the original size.

I think XP is the only OS that I know of that can give them more space, but it might be a graphics issue like the refresh rate on the monitor isn't up high enough to compensate at such a high resolution or the graphics card is strained.

I think this is just a windows problem.
This happens when I change themes until they blur almost completely. It doesn't help to change the window sizes or font sizes.
These icons should refresh when you right click the screen and select refresh,or from the taskbar.

If this doesnt work, try setting the resolution too 1280-960.

1) i dont have an option for 1280x960. all i have is 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x1024.
2) ive restarted, refreshed, changed as many options as i can find and still nothing.
3) these icons are really ugly.

I *think* the problem is that 1280x1024 is a 3/4 ratio like most other resolutions, and on some GFX cards/screens/computers this causes some graphics and images too be displayed wrong. Do things look OK in all other resolutions?
Might be worth trying too get more upto date drivers for your graphics card, that will either amend the problem or allow you too run in 1280, which I think should fix it (allthough your screen might be the limiting factor there). If not later drivers, might be worth going too another source/company for some.

I've run 1280x1024 for some time now and never saw any kind of problem with the icons. It must be some sort of defect in the video driver.

Yes-
If you DON'T change between themes with different fonts you WON'T see this blurring.
If you do change desktop often, like me, the icons resize.
Any image thats resized a few times will lose resolution.
If you close the taskbar program and icon, then reopen the program, the icon draws new again. I can't do this with InCD, though.
