I signed up last year and used a coupon code for $100 off, or something rediculous like that.
Now, I was looking at my control panel, and its set to automatically renew for $119.40 soon.
Is there anyway around this?
Is this standard?
Does it make sense to try a new host?
My g-mail is set through them, and I don't want to mess that up, or any of the settings
Can I cancel and rehost?

That's $9.95/month. A quick glance at the home page lists $8.95/month. Maybe you have something extra, or you signed up at a higher rate. Either way, it's about normal for their fees. You could send a message to support asking for their lower rate. The support people are fairly helpful.
If we weren't on a 10-year plan, I'd look for another host. They're having too many issues right now and don't have very good performance, in my opinion.
The Gmail setting through them are just standard DNS settings pointing to Google. You can make the same changes anywhere else as long as your registrar allows you to modify DNS including the MX records.

10 years...!!! wow
I thought I was extreme paying for 3 years up front. :p
Freshfan if you do want to shop for another host, keep in mind you usually get what you pay for. I really love Hostmonster-- they are offering $5.95/month right now (you have to sign up for a minimum of 12 months). Check them out-- link is in my signature.

Dreamhost was running a "deal" where we could get 10 years for about $700 - a relative bargain that delayed upgrading in-house boxes.
