serverside code and bandwidth

Im not really sure where to post this, I hope I have it in the right place :rolleyes:

If I have a bit of serverside code (say 50K PHP file) but it only outputs say 10K of code, how much bandwidth would it use?

Would it be 50K, the size of the file, 10K, the output size, or something else.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, it would only send back 10k of code back to the client.

So only 10K of bandwidth?

No, 10k of data transfer. Bandwidth is line speed ;)
