Does anyone know what to put in robots.txt to make it so the w3c validator can't access any of the pages ?

No, I don't know. Thanks for putting smile on my lips though (no offense - but it IS funny!). :D

*blank look* robots.txt has nothing to do with your code validation (w3c validator)

Well I thought as it is a robot although not a search engine one there might be a way to prevent people from using the html validator to view the html of my site.

And no I am not one of those fools trying to protect their html ;)

the validator will show errors no matter how 'carp' your coding is. So to stop the validator showing errors, code without errors ;) Nice and simple

Guess you could ban it. And I still think it's funny - sorry! :o

Take out any character encoding and doctype tags in the code.

HTTP Content-Type field.
XML Declaration.
HTML "META" element.
