Is it possible to send an email and the receiver to get your Name or something else in the place of my email address?

I have an email function that works perfectly, but the receiver always gets my email address as sender, which I would have prefered to get a Name or something instead.

$to = $email;
$nameto = "Who To";
$from = "admin_evoting@lavabit.com";
$namefrom = "Who From";
authSendEmail($from, $namefrom, $to, $nameto, $subject, $body);

can I change this somehow and achieve that?
If u want all the code, then just tell me ;)

Change this

$from = "admin_evoting@lavabit.com";

to this?

$from = "Bob White";

Function use the address in $from to specify the sender actually.
So the address is needed.
What I am looking for is a way to send it and the receiver not to get my mail address or get it in form of a name.

Is there somway to specify it?
like

$from="Achilleas<admin_evoting@lavabit.com>"

I think its womewhere those line, but it doesnt work, since the mail client doesnt regognize it.

Found it :D
Thanks for everyone help till now.

Maybe this will be able to help someone else too.

$to = $email;
$nameto = "Who To";
$from = "admin_evoting@lavabit.com";
$namefrom = "Achilleas Philippides";
authSendEmail($from, $namefrom, $to, $nameto, $subject, $body);

And inside Function:

//This one send the email address as sender
fputs($smtpConnect, "To: $to\nFrom: $from\nSubject: $subject\n$headers\n\n$body\n.\n");

//This one sends name Achilleas Philippides in the place of email address
fputs($smtpConnect, "To: $to\nFrom: $namefrom <$from>\nSubject: $subject\n$headers\n\n$body\n.\n");
