How to make a search engine for your site

HI,
I need a search engine that do search in my database in several tables and I wanted to do paging for them .So I need something that search a keyword in database in several tables and then it can to do paging to the results.
Any idea about it?

I'd personally go with one of the spidering index scripts unless you specifically want to code your own direct search script. Something along these lines, (it was the only one whose name I could remember offhand):
