Greetings all!

At work we have a demonstration system for new products that we are developing, we have our own domain name but we would like to link one of the pages on out website to the demo system at work, the only problem is this system is on a random ip so it changes every few hours.

The system at work uses itís own built in web server for certain aspects of the software, so I was hoping I could put together some code to help.

Any help on this would be great, I am not an expert on this, the guy who used to do it has left so I have been given the job of finishing it all of, unfortunately this is not my speciality.

Please help me

Thanks all

Edit

Sorry, I forgot to mention this.

Would it also be possible to have one website and it has a db of all the ip address of all the clients, the some sort of idea but moved into one central website.

Thanks again.

You need your demo system to check its IP from time to time and then submit that data to your website , how you go about that is another matter.

PHP or VB scripts , whatever, can check your IP etc though I am sure there must be some freeware apps out there that do this sort of thing.

If you can get the IP you could send it via GET or POST to your online server which could then store the information as required.

How?! You mean directly from PHP sending something via GET or POST to another PHP page? Exactly like it's sent by a form? how? I can only send things via my HTML form, not any PHP script, how do you do that?!

Spud,

In the future use more descriptive subject titles for your thread as per our posting guidelines:
