Sounds strange I know .. but I bought a new USB mouse and obviously the cable was all wound up when I got it, so now it's in that zig-zag shape and gets caught up in things.

Is there anything I can do to make the cable more flexible?

leaving it in a warm place for a while then play with the cable to straighten it.

Perhaps an airing cupboard would suit the need here?

Stretch it, or you could put it in boiling water, or both.

Yes! I love my Logitech MX700 to death!

You don't need to get the uber model either if you just want a wireless optical mouse... I had another model by Logitech with a simple two buttons and scroll wheel which sells for $30 or $40 now. Of course, I'd recommend getting one with a charger, as they go through batteries often enough to be a hassle, while with the MX700, I just plonk it in its stand everynight. :)

Have you got a holster for it as well? :D
