View Full Version : PHP payment processing help

Right now I have a system set up in my shop where the shopping cart redirects to paypal and the users pay my business via paypal for their items. I'm looking for a way for my users to enter their credit card info, and have their card charged without using paypal. I'm also looking for a way to split these payments up so I can send the money to separate bank accounts. Will splitting the money up be possible? If it is possible, can I send the money to a credit cart or a bank account? If all else fails I guess I'll be looking for a way to gather money into paypal via back end and split the money up into parts and send it off to different bank accounts from there. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

There are a number of payment gateways available. I'm pretty sure for legal reasons you won't be able to split payments up to multiple accounts. You will need one container account and then you can manually split the money whenever you wish to using online banking. The money will always have to go to an actual bank account, not to a cc. It is more than likely you will need to set up a business account in your local bank before you will be able to proceed with this. If you try and do business finance through your personal account you can face major charges off the bank if they deem it necessary.

Hmm very interesting. Thanks for the reply. I wonder how ebay and Paypal go about taking a percentage of online transactions that their users do. This is similar to what I want to be doing but with employees. Will there be a way to gather money via Paypal and then maybe send money to other paypal accounts through one paypal account? It's really not the best way I want to go about doing that but maybe it's the only alternative? I know Paypal has a way to send money to other paypal accounts, but what about a feature to send money directly to a bank? Thanks again,

Ebay doesn't take commission directly, they invoice a user for the money instead. You could collect it all to one paypal/bank account and then disperse it yes

Okay so lets say I have a regular non-merchant bank account and I have a PHP script set up that transfers money into said bank account. From that bank account I would have to set up another script that will pull money out and disperse it evenly to co workers. I believe I get it, but I don't know how to get started on how to process payments.
Another way I can do it is gather all the money into our business paypal account, then set up the script to that co-workers will automatically get payments every week or so automatically delivered to their paypal OR their bank account.
Am I right on this? Thanks,

I think you can do it with paypal yes. As for the actual bank account method I'm not sure. I've never scripted payments out of bank accounts as such, and more than likely your bank account will have some sort of payroll application that you'll need to use that they've had custom made

Okay. Thank you so much for your help. I'll be sure to come back if I run into more problems. Thanks again,
