Alright guys
I have got this Internet Explorer and Google Firefox question please..
I am wondering why when I look in Internet Explorer it is not the same as in Google Firefox
Please see this website in both http://www.digitalresellersvault.com/marketplace.php?cat=t&category=Private_Label_Rights&search_txt=&page=2
The thing that is not the same is the border for all of the columns.. For some reason internet explorer doesnt reckonise 2px, but Google firefox does..
How do I get around that please?

1) You do you mean Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome? They are two different browsers.
2) When trying to solve layout differences between browsers the first step is to make sure your HTML is valid, yours is not (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.digitalresellersvault.com%2Fmarketplace.php%3Fcat%3Dt%26category%3DPrivate_Labe l_Rights%26search_txt%3D%26page%3D2).
3) The title of your page is "Unititled Document" you might want to change that to something specific to your site.

I'l Mean Mozilla Firefox...
I am using dreamweaver and then upload them to my servers, and things look ok.. But now with that validator thing I get how many errors..
But if there were errors to begin why cant I see them before I upload?

Also that validator doesnt reckonise php commands does it? Because a lot of the errors are to do with divs...

the document fed to the validator does not contain any PHP code. you might read a tutorial, which explains the rules of HTML.
the specs are here (http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/) and here (http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/).

One little problem with that :)
My document is done in php code.. Not html..
Also as an example:
One of the error is as follows:
Line 40, Column 19: document type does not allow element "div" here
<div id="mainbody"> <!--Begin Wrap-->
So it is reading the php code and getting confused...

it’s not reading PHP code, otherwise it would show <?php ?>. further, what do you think is PHP outputting – it’s HTML text.
did you notice that you close the <html> tag on line 39? (X)HTML doesn’t allow anything after </html>.

So it is reading the php code and getting confused...Your php code is not visible to the outside world. The server gives the parsed output for browser/validator, which is obviously HTML! You may verify it by using the "view source" option of your browser. (Alternatively, you may paste that HTML output to the validator via http://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_input)
Also as an example:
One of the error is as follows:
Line 40, Column 19: document type does not allow element "div" here
<div id="mainbody"> <!--Begin Wrap-->
Not true! Have you read the first error message? document type does not allow element "div" here; assuming missing "body" start-tag

Yes I have read the right first message which goes as follows
Line 10, Column 17: document type does not allow element "div" here; assuming missing "body" start-tag
<div id="header">
Again it is reading the div php code... Not html code...

I don’t see any PHP code in the listed source, neither do I see a <body> tag.

What is the point of using <div>'s??? Unless I have written it php... Not html..
I have created the whole page in php.. not an html file..
I have removed all <html> and <body> tags... You said that I had closed on off earlier.. so I removed them all...

what do you think the browsers can read? - HTML or XML
What does PHP output? - HTML*
* by default

The div tag has absolutely nothing to do with PHP. It is just a generic HTML tag. The fact that you may or may not have generated it with PHP is irrelevant.
You still need a html and body tag in your document, one each.

run the validator again and correct the errors bit by bit.
