View Full Version : Drop down location problem in IE 6 & 7

This drop down works great in Firefox, Safari, IE 8, etc... But not in IE 6 & 7. the drop down appears to the far left instead of right under the navigation. I have racked my brain on this for the last day and have made no progress. Any help or advice would be totally appreciated. Thanks...

Adding position:relative; to #menu ul might help things.

Thanks for the help Excavator. I added position:relative; to #menu ul and it didn't work. Do you have anymore ideas? Thanks.

ul.level2 dropdown is styled with both inline styles and your linked CSS:(
Using inline styles, you set it position:absolute; with a top:74px; but no left coordinates.
Once #menu ul is position:relative;, what happens when you adjust top and left settings on level 2?

Yes, looking at the original version - http://www.knallgrau.at/code/unordered-list-as-dropdown-menu - it appears yours is missing the left:xxpx; setting on level2 dropdown.
It may not need the position:relative; on the parent. You can try it either way I suppose.
