While altering the template for my website, I wrongly entered a line. Now, my site will only show this message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in /home/theultra/public_html/wp-content/themes/minimalism 1.0.2/functions.php on line 16

How do I return to my site and the template to fix this problem? Visiting my Wordpress account, my site, and my hosting site all just lead straight to this message. What should I do?

(Sorry, I'm new at this)

Well post your code for a start ;) Where did you change? if you download the minimalism theme again and look in the functions.php file you should be able to get it to work

You were editing the template through the control panel in wordpress?

You can fix the problem by downloading that file off your server, fixing the syntax error and reuploading the edited version of the file.

I'm not even able to return to the place where you upload the template though. No matter what I try, that message is all that I'm allowed to see. Even if I download the template again and fix it there, how do I get around that parse error and reupload the edited file?

remove all the content from that function file, save it and re-upload it. It might give you an error but it should work ok. Post the contents of it here first if you like and we should be able to fix it
