Hello :)

I cannot figure out why the vertical align is not working in my footer - I basically need a the links2 div aligned to the bottom of the footer div.

I've tried setting a top margin but for some reason the margin is also applied to the containing footer div and pushes it away from the content above.

Setting padding-top within the footer div to try and push the links2 div down just creates space at the bottom of the page.

I'm confused and any help appreciated!

Thank you,

Jonny.

Hello kopsy,
You are experiencing Uncollapsing Margins (http://nopeople.com/CSS/uncollapsing-margin/index.html).
This should fix it:

#footer {
width: 950px;
margin: auto;
height: 347px;
overflow: auto;
background: url(http://lemongrassmedia.co.uk/backup/core/blue_images/baser.jpg);
}
#links2{
height: 200px;
width: 300px;
margin: 147px 0 0 0;
background: #000033;
}
