Can you give me some ideas of good banner ad creation software out their. One that can handle not only text but images as well and also have various specail effects.

Chopping images
I have an image that i want on the top of my Homepage, but i want to chop the image so it would load faster. I see this been done on a number of websites, i suspect they then place each piece of the image in a table is that correct , and what programme are they using to hop the image up?

there's plenty of graphics animation programs out there, i use jasc animation shop... its nothing special but it does what i need... :)

for chopping up images, i use either splitimage (http://www.thecastle.com/software.html) or the one built into Paint Shop Pro 7... both are good, the one with psp7 is slightly better though, but of course it isnt free...

justa note... methinks that chopped up images actually take longer to load... but i cant remember where i heard that... so dont quote it :)
