Call waiting Service

I have call waiting service on my phone, whenever I connect to internet and in b.w someone call me phone gives he/she the normal tone (it seems nobody is reciving the phone) but I didnt got any kinnda alret that someone is trying to call me. I am using Windows XP Pro, is there any software that makes a beep for me, or plays my audio file that "I am connected to internet call me later"

any help regarding this will be helpful for me.

It all depends on your modem. Some modems have a call waiting feature and/or a feature that lets you know when a call is coming in and gives you the option of disconnecting from the Internet so that you can answer the call or just ignore it. My last dialup modem had that. There are other services as well that you can either find for free or pay for that will take you incoming calls and redirect them to an online answering service. I used to use one called CallWave I believe it was. It was free at the time while I used it but I think they charge a small fee now. I have to admit though it was a pretty cool service.
