what happened to the "Who's Online" list?QuackHead 07-12-2002, 02:49 PM The Who's Online page where it lists what everyone's doing ... I noticed this got disabled. Just wondering why... ?? ~Quack boxer_1 07-12-2002, 04:21 PM I can only speculate as to why, but I'm sure George's reasoning behind disabling the feature is valid. Perhaps it's because it really doesn't serve any purpose except for people to sit there and see what everyone else is doing. I could see potential problems arising from the who's online list, such as someone posting a question, going to the list, and sitting there watching who views their thread. Possibly soliciting help from anyone who views it via PM (not good)...maybe a privacy issue ;) *enough speculation from me*. QuackHead 07-12-2002, 08:06 PM I guess you're right.. I just found it a nice feature to look and see if anyone was replying to my thread... then I would know something was coming soon, so I'd come back and check often... oh well, if it's an issue, it's an issue and deserves disability ;) ~Quack redhead 07-13-2002, 01:48 PM i found it usefull so that i could see if anyone was replying to a thread before i did... but i'm sure George had a good reason to disable it. Feyd 07-13-2002, 05:02 PM You can always use email notification when you post your threads. Spookster 07-13-2002, 05:43 PM Personally I liked being able to see where members were at specifically if I had answered someone's questions. If I see that they were viewing the thread I would stick around in case they had further questions.
