the following code in chrome pushes everything else off the page
why?
(it works fine in ie and firefox)

<ul class="breadcrumbs">
<li><a href="http://www.xxxl.com/new//index.php?cPath=24" >link 1</a> &raquo; <a href="http://www.xxxl.com/new//index.php?cPath=24_25&osCsid=ric0j5hfhpv3pdbsgfv9ueo735" >bredcrumb 2</a> &raquo; <span>breadcrumb 3</span> </li>

</ul>

and
css

.breadcrumbs {
float:left;
}

.breadcrumbs li {
color:#666;
display:inline;
font-size:12px;
}

.breadcrumbs li a {
color:#006666;
text-decoration:underline;
}
.breadcrumbs li a:hover { text-decoration:none }

.breadcrumbs li span { color:#cc0033; }

Hello esthera,
Maybe Chrome is choking on not getting a width for your float?

See A floated box must have an explicit width (http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/visuren.html#floats)

I don't have Chrome installed to check it out but it might help if you posted enough that we could see what's getting pushed off the page.

It looks the same to me in Firefox, Opera and Chrome.

the width can be a whole line
it's a breadcrumb

see http://www.kos hercasu al.com/new//index.php?cPath=24_25

(remove spaces please)
