View Full Version : suckerfish menu

I am using a suckerfish menu featured here (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/suckertree-menu-vertical/)
is there a way to make the sub menus dynamic? some of my submenus will be hugely long and I'd rather they stretched across the page rather than be on two lines...

I'd also like to be able to change the fonts...right now it's inheriting my body fonts (yes, I am a newbie, I freely admit it!) do I just make the font changes in the
.suckerdiv ul{
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
list-style-type: none;
width: 160px; /* Width of Menu Items */
border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc;
} section or do I make a new style with the ul/li?

sorry if I'm not being clear! =)

test page (http://www.monarchcottages.com/kpltd/test/)

I have the suckerfish menu on the left, but would like the fonts to be smaller and not bold.....do I just add in ul/li styles?

also on the sub menus, it has a piece of code
/*Sub level menu items */
.suckerdiv ul li ul{
position: absolute;
width: 170px; /*sub menu width*/
top: 0;
visibility: hidden;

that marks the sub menu width as being 170 px wide, but mine will need to be wider than that, on occasion the sub menus will have very long titles (the customer wants it that way!) so is it possible to change the 170px to 100% or is there a better way to write that? or have no width specified?

also, is there any way to put the whole menu in the CSS file as they want to be able to update the navigation themselves, and this way they'd only have to change the one page...
