I am doing some volunteer work in Mongolia. I need to have online forms that can be filled in either English or Mongolian (i.e. a slight variation of the Russian Cyrillic alphabet).

I have done things like set the encoding (ie <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251"/>)

I have tried a couple of other things with no luck.

I need to use “text” inputs and “textarea” inputs. I have noticed on one computer different behaviour between these two types of inputs (ie I was able to type in Mongolian Cyrillic into a text input but not into the textarea).

While I am have experience with Software Development, I have limited experience with Web dev and Cyrillic.

Any help would be appreciated, I am only here for 2 more weeks and need to solve this soon!!! Any tips to watch out for etc would be good also.

Cheers

Nick
