Please help with javascript/css/html menu

Hi I am a total newbie to javascript and css :confused: and have a menu that I am trying to get to work.
Also in the attachments the on.png need's to go in the images folder (Flyout menu.zip/Flyout menu/images/)
To start I downloaded a template that I liked. But I have a problem because if you look at the attached html page (you need to download all of them to get it to work) when you move your mouse over a menu item that has an '>' it expands with a submenu. The problem is that when you move your mouse onto one of the submenu items the main item that it came from doesn't stay lit up which makes it hard to tell which one you came from (I also think that it doesn't look good). If anyone can edit/add to the java/css/html files and make it work I will be very happy (I have been trying for days now).

Another minor problem probably to do with the css is that I would like the arrows (currently they are just text greater than signs '>') to be images and aligned right and the text to stay aligned left.

You know, if you can show this live someplace, you'd save possbily several people having to download, unzip, build a page, etc.

Well unfortunately I cannot show it live as I don't yet own a website although I am going to buy one when I finish my website.

If you have somewhere that I can put it up live I will happily do so.
Also you don't have to build the web page it is built with .html, .css, .js all prepared all you have to do is download it put the image into the image directory and open the html file

Actually if you go to http://sandbox.leigeber.com/flyout/flyout.html there is the sample that I downloaded. Notice how when you move your mouse onto the submenu items the main menu items don't stay lit up.
